Questions worth answering clearly.
SoilVit™ is a organic-based, circular soil-regeneration technology. Less water. Less nitrogen. More resilient yield — and clear answers about what is proven and what is still under validation.
Is SoilVit™ a fertilizer?+
SoilVit™ is not marketed as a conventional NPK fertilizer. It is an organic-based, circular soil-regeneration technology — designed to regenerate the whole soil system (water, nutrients, biology, humus and carbon), not to feed the crop for a single season. Its EU candidate classification is PFC 3(A) — Organic Soil Improver under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009.
Is SoilVit™ a hydrogel?+
No. SoilVit™ is not a synthetic superabsorbent-polymer hydrogel. It is an organic-based granulate that acts on water retention, soil structure, nutrient dynamics and biological function — a whole-system regeneration technology, not a single-function water absorber.
Is SoilVit™ synthetic-polymer based?+
According to the current confidential formulation documentation, SoilVit™ is not built on the polyacrylamide or polyacrylate SAP model used by many agricultural hydrogels. Public “polymer-free” language will only be used once every ingredient and processing aid is fully declared.
Is SoilVit™ natural?+
SoilVit™ uses naturally derived mineral and organic-based components, and selected recovered material streams are part of the development platform. We do not use “100% natural” as an unqualified public claim because origin, processing and regulatory meaning must be documented for every component.
Does SoilVit™ contain recycled ingredients?+
Selected recovered mineral or organic-based streams are being evaluated and may be incorporated where their origin, safety, consistency and legal status are confirmed. Product-specific recycled-content percentages will be stated only after supplier traceability and mass-balance documentation are complete.
Can SoilVit™ reduce irrigation?+
Longer intervals between watering events have been observed preliminarily; the exact magnitude is being quantified per site. SoilVit™ is being tested for changes in plant-available water, drying rate, irrigation interval and water-use efficiency. Any commercial claim must identify the soil, crop, climate, application, control and performance threshold.
Can SoilVit™ capture water from air?+
SoilVit™ is being tested for interaction with atmospheric humidity under controlled temperature and relative-humidity conditions. Hygroscopic uptake by a material does not automatically prove a meaningful net contribution of plant-available water in the field.
Does SoilVit™ increase yield?+
Yield is an active test outcome, not a guaranteed claim. Response can depend on crop, soil, water stress, nutrition, application rate and management. SoilVit™ trials will evaluate emergence, roots, plant vitality, biomass, marketable yield and yield stability against an untreated control.
Can SoilVit™ reduce nitrogen fertilizer need?+
SoilVit™ is being measured for its contribution to nitrogen-use efficiency and reduce nitrogen losses. A reduced-fertilizer claim requires replicated trials with multiple nitrogen levels, plant uptake, leaching and yield measurements. SoilVit™ should not be used to replace agronomic nutrient planning.
Does SoilVit™ sequester CO₂?+
SoilVit™ is being evaluated for its possible influence on plant growth, soil organic matter and soil carbon dynamics. No verified SoilVit™ carbon-sequestration rate, permanence period or carbon-credit methodology is currently claimed.
Does SoilVit™ stop desertification?+
No single product can credibly guarantee that it stops desertification. SoilVit™ is designed for sandy, degraded and climate-stressed soils and may become a useful component of integrated restoration strategies that include vegetation, erosion control, irrigation, organic matter and long-term land management.
How long does SoilVit™ last?+
SoilVit™ is designed for multi-season soil performance. The candidate “up to 10 years” claim is under validation. Actual persistence may vary with soil, application rate, incorporation depth, water chemistry, cultivation, erosion and crop system.
Is SoilVit™ suitable for saline soils or saline irrigation water?+
Salinity is a priority application question, but it must be tested carefully. Salts can change water interactions, nutrient availability and plant response. SoilVit™ is not currently presented as a stand-alone desalination or anti-salinity product.
Is SoilVit™ suitable for all crops and soils?+
No universal suitability claim is made. Priority uses include sandy and arid soils, date palms, high-value horticulture, orchards, vineyards, turf, urban greenery, nurseries and degraded-land pilots.
How is SoilVit™ applied?+
Application is being developed for incorporation into the active root zone and for selected tailored delivery formats. The recommended method depends on soil, crop, root depth, irrigation, machinery and whether the site is new or established.
What is the recommended application rate?+
No universal public rate is currently recommended. A rate is released only after the application depth, treated soil mass, bulk density, crop and economic model have been defined.
Is SoilVit™ approved in the European Union?+
SoilVit™ is not presented on this website as CE-marked or approved under Regulation (EU) 2019/1009. The candidate classification and Component Material Category route are under assessment.
Can SoilVit™ be used in organic farming?+
Not automatically. “Organic soil improver” under fertilising-product law and “permitted for organic production” are different concepts. Use in organic farming depends on the applicable organic-production rules and authorised input categories, as well as the final product and jurisdiction.
What tests are required before launch?+
The required package depends on the final classification and market. It typically includes full product and component characterisation, eligible CMC documentation, contaminants, REACH and safety review, physical properties, stability, agronomic efficacy where required, phytotoxicity, ecotoxicity, labelling and conformity assessment.
Can I buy SoilVit™ now?+
Availability depends on the country, application and development programme. The initial route is through qualified pilots, research collaborations and market-development partners.
